Faith Watson and Threka are organizing our third singing vacation to Kerala, which will take place over two weeks. During this time, we will sing and explore four well-known locations while learning about the local customs and culture.
Explore four distinct regions of Kerala through singing, each with its own unique, unforgettable appeal. The breathtaking backwaters of Kumarakom, the verdant hills and spice plantations of Periyar, the towering ranges of Munnar, and the imperial harbor city of Cochin. With numerous genuine experiences along the way and regular singing sessions led by motivating professional singing leader Faith Watson, Threka Tourism’s Kerala singing holiday will leave you with lifelong travel memories.

Faith is a member of the Natural Voice Network. She has been leading harmony singing workshops since 1998 and, through her business: Singing for Larks, she runs regular harmony singing groups in Greater Manchester, her own programme of day and weekend workshops around the UK, and one-off workshops, projects, holidays and events for other groups and organisations (including 2 previous holidays to Kerala with Aminesh Chamakala). Faith writes and arranges acapella songs for her own open-access workshops, for The Lovenotes (the acapella group she performs with), and for other voice leaders and singing groups. At the heart of all Faith’s work there remains a love of acapella singing and the belief that everyone, no matter what their level of skill, confidence, or experience, can enjoy the thrill of singing together, in harmony.

UK to Cochin Flight
Day 01 – (02 Feb 2025)
Arrival at Cochin International Airport and transfer to Kumarakom. (02.00Hrs)
Transfer to Hotel in Kumarakom. Lunch at the hotel. Rest of the afternoon free to relax/enjoy swimming pool.
Evening Introduction section.
(Optional Ayurveda massage possible in the hotel)
Day 02 - (03 Feb 2025)
Morning 3 hours boat cruise from 09:30 to 12:30 hrs. After the Boat Cruise a Traditional Kerala lunch at Boatman’s House will be provided. Then transfer back to hotel to relax & enjoy the swimming pool.
Afternoon Singing programme.
Day 03 - (04 Feb 2025)
Morning guided walking tour in Kumarakom village then after lunch back to hotel
Relax & enjoy the swimming pool.
Afternoon Singing programme.
Day 04 - (05 Feb 2025)
Morning singing program on the group’s own
Lunch and cruise in houseboat in the afternoon, and in the evening, enjoy a performance by local singers.
Day 05 - (06 Feb 2025)
Morning Transfer to Periyar after breakfast at Hotel. Lunch enroute.
Evening Village walk & market visit at Periyar & Kalaripayattu-Kerala Martial Arts show at 6:00 PM
Day 06 - (07 Feb 2025)
Morning 0930 hrs spice plantation visit with optional elephant ride in the plantation. Lunch and cooking demonstration at a Local restaurant. Afternoon groups own singing programme. Evening, 06:00 pm to 07:30 pm Kerala Traditional Art / Cultural Dance performance.
Day 07 - (08 Feb 2025)
Early Morning boat trip inside the wildlife sanctuary and after breakfast singing programme at hotel after lunch Jeep Safari to Tamil Nadu.
Day 08 - (09 Feb 2025)
Periyar-Munnar transfer. 0930 hrs leave for Munnar. Lunch en route to Munnar
Evening free to walk around in the town and visit a temple.
Day 09 - (10 Feb 2025)
Morning visit Madupetty Dam, Echo Point, Tea Plantations. Lunch at a local restaurant in Munnar town. Afternoon own singing programme
Day 10 - (11 Feb 2025)
Morning visit to Tea Museum and watch different activities of tea making & visit to Eravikulam National park. Afternoon own group singing programme.
Day 11 - (12 Feb 2025)
Morning transfer to Cochin after breakfast, with lunch en route half way at a restaurant. Evening walk by the beach
Day 12 - (13 Feb 2025)
Morning option for singing in a church and visit to Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue and Chinese Fishing Net. Lunch at a local restaurant transfer to hotel Aftrenoon Singing at hotel.
Day 13 - (14 Feb 2025)
Morning own singing programme. Lunch at outside restaurant and then free time for shopping.
Farewell Dinner at 7:00PM.
Day 14 - (15 Feb 2025)
Depart to Cochin Airport.01:00 hrs drive
