TUTOR : ALI ORBIUM & LIZ MARTIN
Ali Orbaum has been running popular choirs and singing workshops around the UK for the past 25 years in arts centres, festivals, workplaces, schools and community spaces. Her work as a vocalist, arranger and choir director has taken her around the world, including leading singing holidays in France, Italy, Morocco, the Czech Republic and Southern India.
Liz’s enthusiasm for singing is passionate and highly infectious. She has lived in France, Spain and Italy where she sang in bands, choirs and madrigal groups. For 20 years she has shared her love of singing by teaching and running four big community choirs, collectively known as The Loud Crowd. She loves sharing different kind of songs: world, folk, jazz, classical, gospel, pop, sacred – in fact anything in harmony.
Ali and Liz’s clear, encouraging and dynamic teaching style combines with a wonderful range of songs – from pop and folk to jazz and world music. All the songs are taught by ear and suitable for beginners and experienced singers alike.
