Beyond the iconic “Pink City” of Jaipur and the ethereal Taj Mahal, you will venture into the rustic charm of Karauli, painting its authentic village life and red sandstone palaces. In Ranthambore, the rugged landscape and ancient fort provide a dramatic backdrop for wildlife and nature studies. The journey includes in the “Blue City” of Bundi, famous for its exquisite miniature murals and the reflective waters of Nawal Sagar Lake.

Kevin Scully and Threka ran a very successful painting holiday together in 2013 & 2025. Kevin trained at Wimbledon School of Art and has exhibited widely and travelled extensively. He leads painting holidays and art courses in the UK and abroad. His vast experience allows him to teach in all mediums. He especially enjoys sharing his knowledge with others and his work encompasses a wide range of subject matter where he concentrates on working from direct observation to produce paintings that contain just the bare essentials, and devoid of too much unnecessary detail. He is enthusiastic and creative, using demonstrations and one-to-one tuition to help students gain confidence and develop as individuals.

Fly from England to Jaipur or Delhi International Airport.
DAY 01 (01 MAR 2027) Welcome to Incredible India, Your Painting Holiday Experience Begins
Arrival – Transfer to our hotel in Jaipur. Evening welcome meeting and dinner to discuss our “Golden Triangle” colour palette.
DAY 02 (02 MAR 2027) Jaipur Palace and Hostory
- Morning: Sketch the geometric patterns of the Nahargarh Fort stepwell or the rugged ramparts of Amber Fort.
- On way back: Stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace) for a quick session on painting water reflections of the Palace.
- Afternoon: Painting section by Kevin Scully at hotel.
DAY 03 (03 MAR 2027) Architectural Sketching
- Morning: Visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar to sketch its futuristic 18th-century geometric structures—a masterclass in light and shadow.
- On way back: Focus on the intricate, honeycomb facade of the Hawa Mahal or return to the hotel for a session on “Jaipur Pink” colour mixing.
DAY 04 (04 MAR 2027) Journey to the 'City of Miniature Paintings'
- A 4-hour drive to Bundi.
- Evening Option: An introductory sketch session near Nawal Sagar Lake, where the palace and temples reflect perfectly in the water.
Day 05 (05 MAR 2027) Palace Murals & Vistas
- Morning: Painting at Bundi Palace (Garh Palace), famous for its turquoise-and-gold murals.
- Afternoon: Walk up to the historic town of Bundi with a sketch book.
Day 06 (06 MAR 2027) Miniature Mastery & Stepwells
- Morning: Private workshop with a local master in the Bundi School of Miniature Art. Learn about single-hair brushes and natural pigments.
- Evening: Sketching session at Raniji Ki Baori, capturing the dramatic depth and intricate carvings of this ancient stepwell.
Day 07 (07 MAR 2027) Transfer to the Wild
- Drive to Rantambore and afternoon at leisure by the pool.
- Painting Option: Quick “warm-up” sketches of the local flora and birds around the resort gardens.
- Evening cultural programme at hotel.
Day 08 (08 MAR 2027) Tigers & Textures
- Early Morning: Safari in Ranthambore.
- Afternoon: Visit the Ranthambore School of Art to see how local artists use charcoal and watercolor to create lifelike wildlife portraits.
- Evening: Paint the ancient ruins of Ranthambore Fort as the sun sets over the jungle.
Day 09 (09 MAR 2027) The quiet heritage town of Karauli
- Drive to Karauli
- Evening Option: A session at the hotel focusing on the “Golden Hour” light hitting the palace stones.
Day 10 (10 MAR 2027) Rural Life & Heritage
- Morning: En plein air session at the hotel property or a nearby local village to capture daily Rajasthani life.
- Afternoon: Painting at Karauli Palace, focusing on its vibrant frescoes and traditional courtyard architecture.
Day 11 (11 MAR 2027) The Road to Agra – Visit Fatehpur Sikri en route.
- Painting Option: Sketch the massive Buland Darwaza or the delicate marble lattice-work of the tomb of Salim Chishti.
Day 12 (12 MAR 2027) The White Marble Wonder
- Morning: Visit the Taj Mahal
- afternoon Visit Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden) across the river for a session painting the Taj Mahal from the back—often a much quieter spot for artists.
Day 13 (13 MAR 2027) Return to the Capital – Drive to Delhi.
- Final Session: A quick guided tour of Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk to capture the chaotic energy and colours of the market, We also opportunity to visit the red fort India Gate and back hotel for our farewell dinner.
Day 14 (14 MAR 2027) Farewell – Transfer to Delhi Airport for departure.

Yes, We offers painting holidays tailored for beginners, featuring step-by-step guidance, supportive environments, and exposure to local art forms and landscapes.
What is included in the per person cost?
The package includes 13 nights full board accommodation (all meals), en-suite rooms in quality hotels, air-conditioned transport, full-time local tour manager.
What is not included in the price?
International flight tickets, home and airport transfers, visa fees, travel insurance, extra drinks at meals, tips, personal expenses, and optional activities like Ayurveda massages or jeep safaris are not included.
When do I need to pay?
A deposit of £250 is required to secure your booking. The balance payment is 30 days before your departure date. After the confirmation of your booking we will sent an invoice for deposit payment.
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
Deposit Refund: If you cancel 60 days or more before departure, you will receive a 75% refund of your deposit.
Final Payment Refund: If you have paid the full/final amount and cancel 10 days or more before departure, you will receive a 50% refund.
No Refund Zone: Any cancellation made within 10 days of departure is non-refundable, regardless of how much you have paid.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll stay in charming, high-quality heritage hotels/Resorts with en-suite facilities throughout the tour.
Do I need a visa to visit India?
Yes, international visitors require a visa to enter India. We recommend applying for an e-Visa through the official Indian government website at least 30 days before your travel date. Detailed visa application instructions will be provided after booking confirmation. We offer complimentary assistance with the visa process.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance from your home country covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, flight changes/cancellations, and personal belongings. Insurance is not included and must be purchased separately.
