She has been leading harmony singing workshops since 1998 and, through her business: Singing for Larks, she runs a programme of day and weekend workshops around the UK, and one-off workshops, projects, holidays and events for other groups and organisations (including 2 previous holidays to Kerala with Threka Tourism). Faith writes and arranges acapella songs for her own open-access workshops, for The Lovenotes (the acapella group she performs with), and for other voice leaders and singing groups. At the heart of all Faith’s work there remains a love of acapella singing and the belief that everyone, no matter what their level of skill, confidence, or experience, can enjoy the thrill of singing together, in harmony..

DAY 00 (13 FEB 2027)

Fly from London to Bangalore International  Airport (Karnataka – India)

Day 01 - (14 - Feb 2027) Mysore | Arrival Transfer and the Palace Ilumination

Arrive at Bangalore Airport (8/9 AM) and transfer (3.5 hours) to your Mysore hotel for check-in and rest.

In the evening, head out by 6:30PM to witness the spectacular Mysore Palace Illumination, which takes place only on Sunday from 7:00 PM and after your dinner back to our hotel.

After breakfast, visit Chamundi Hills to see the revered Chamundeshwari Temple. Next, tour the grand interiors of the magnificent Mysore Palace. Following lunch, return to the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation by the pool. In the evening, enjoy a dedicated singing section led by Faith Watson, concluding your day on a melodious note.

The day begins with a visit to the vibrant Devaraja local market. This is followed by a scenic one-hour drive to the magnificent Somnathpur Temple (Chennakesava Temple), a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its exquisite Hoysala architecture.

Enjoy lunch with authentic cuisine at a local restaurant.

The afternoon offers relaxation by the pool, followed by an evening singing session with Faith Watson, creating the perfect blend of exploration and leisure.

The drive to Ooty is spectacular (4 hours), featuring a thrilling pass through Masinagudi Wildlife Park. You have a high chance of spotting animals like deer, elephants, and gaurs from the bus. You will enjoy lunch at an enroute restaurant. After settling into the Ooty hotel, take a walk to the Rose Garden and enjoy the evening singing with Faith.

After breakfast, visit a Tea Factory to learn about tea production. Next, drive to a Toda tribal village in Doda to experience their unique culture. Following lunch, you’ll return to the hotel for a relaxing singing session in the afternoon.

Enjoy a morning singing session at the hotel. Afterwards, you have the option to visit the beautiful Ooty Botanical Garden. Following lunch in town, you will travel to Coonoor for a scenic excursion on the UNESCO World Heritage Nilgiri Mountain Railway, concluding the afternoon with a memorable train ride.

Today, enjoy the scenic 2.5-hour drive from Ooty to the Bandipur forest retreat. Upon check-in enjoy the local cusine, you can relax and cool off in the pool. The evening is dedicated to leisure and a pleasant singing session at the hotel, concluding your day in the wilderness.

The day begins with an exciting Early morning safari drive (6:00 AM) for two hours, where you have a high chance of seeing wild animals. Return to the hotel for breakfast and relaxation. The afternoon is dedicated to leisure time by the pool and a relaxing singing session, concluding your day at the retreat.

You have an optional Morning bird-watching tour before breakfast. Afterwards, begin the scenic 4-hour drive from Bandipur to Kerala’s Wayanad region. You will stop for lunch en route. Finally, check into your tranquil eco-friendly resort, ready to enjoy the beautiful Western Ghats environment.

The morning features an excursion to the famous Banasura Sagar Dam for a 30-minute boat ride, followed by an insightful guided Spice Garden visit. After enjoying lunch, you will return to your eco-friendly resort for relaxation. The evening will be capped off with a captivating performance by local Artists.

Your hotel provides a full day of activities, including Singing, Walking and an authentic Ayurvedic massage. You will enjoy lunch alongside a fascinating Keralan cookery demonstration. The rest of the day is dedicated to relaxation at the eco-resort. In the evening, the group will hold a singing session.

In the morning, begin the scenic drive from Wayanad to the South Indian coastal city of Calicut (Kozhikode). This pleasant journey typically takes only about 2.5 to 3 hours. Upon arrival, check into your modern hotel and relax. In the evening, the group will head out to see the Arabian Sea and witness a beautiful sunset, enjoying the coastal atmosphere.

The final full day in Calicut includes a visit to the Pazhassi Raja Museum for a taste of history, followed by lunch featuring Kerala’s best Biryani. The afternoon offers time for shopping before returning to the hotel for a special evening of farewell singing and dinner.

This morning, you will begin your departure transfer to Calicut International Airport (CCJ), carrying the wonderful memory of a singing holiday filled with beautiful sights and melodies from Karnataka, Tamilnadu, and Kerala . We wish you a safe journey home!

What is included in the South India Singing Holiday?

The South India Singing Holiday combines guided vocal sessions, scenic location visits, comfortable stays, and rich cultural experiences. It gives you the chance to learn and develop your singing while enjoying India’s natural beauty and warm hospitality

 You’ll stay in charming, high-quality hotels/resorts with en-suite facilities throughout the tour. Accommodation includes 3 nights in Mysore, 3 nights Ooty, 2 nights Bandipure, 3 Nights Waynad and 2 nights Calicut.

 

The package includes 13 nights full board accommodation (all meals), en-suite rooms in quality hotels, air-conditioned transport, full-time local tour manager.

International flight tickets, home and airport transfers, visa fees, travel insurance, extra drinks at meals, tips, personal expenses, and optional activities like Ayurveda massages or jeep safaris are not included.

6Single occupancy costs £2900 per person (£600 more than sharing). Sharing occupancy is £2300 per person.

A deposit of £500 is required to secure your booking. The balance payment is 30 days before your departure date. After the confirmation of your booking we will sent an invoice  for deposit payment.

Deposit Refund: If you cancel 60 days or more before departure, you will receive a 75% refund of your deposit.

Final Payment Refund: If you have paid the full/final amount and cancel 10 days or more before departure, you will receive a 50% refund.

No Refund Zone: Any cancellation made within 10 days of departure is non-refundable, regardless of how much you have paid.

Yes, international visitors require a visa to enter India. We recommend applying for an e-Visa through the official Indian government website at least 30 days before your travel date. Detailed visa application instructions will be provided after booking confirmation. We offer complimentary assistance with the visa process.

Yes, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance from your home country covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, flight changes/cancellations, and personal belongings. Insurance is not included and must be purchased separately.

February is an ideal time to visit South India with pleasant weather, temperatures ranging from 20-30°C, minimal rainfall, and comfortable conditions for outdoor activities.

All meals are included (full board). You’ll experience traditional Kerala cuisine including lunch on banana leaves, cooking demonstrations, and varied dining experiences. Please inform us of any dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, allergies) at the time of booking.
