Tutor: Liz Martin

Liz’s enthusiasm for singing is passionate and highly infectious. She has lived in France, Spain and Italy where she sang in bands, Choirs and madrigal groups. For 20 years she has shared her love of singing by teaching and running big community choirs, collectively known as The Loud Crowd. She loves sharing different kind of songs: world, folk, jazz, classical, gospel, pop, sacred – in fact anything in harmony.

Day 1 – 3 | Chennai – Mahabalipuram

Arrival at Chennai International Airport and transfer to Mahabalipuram.

Our first hotel sits right at the historical temple town in Tamilnadu.

Settle in and find your feet; relax by the pool, enjoy the beautiful beach by the hotel. By early evening we will be ready to meet, sing and dine together to celebrate the start of our holiday in TamilNadu.

Day 4 – 6 | Pondicherry

We’ll move to Puducherry, formerly known as Pondicherry, is one of the 8 union territories of India. It was formed out of four territories of former French India, Here we are for 4 nights.

Away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, Puducherry is a quiet little town on the southern coast of India. The unmistakable French connection, the tree lined boulevards, the quaint colonial heritage buildings, the spiritual sceneries, the endless stretches of unspoilt virgin beaches and backwaters and a surprising choice of restaurants serving a melange of cuisines provide a heady mix of experience that draws travellers from near and far to the city. It is the perfect place to come if you want to take the pace of life down a few notches.

Day 7 – 9 | Madurai

Madurai is an energetic, ancient city of Tamilnadu and also called temple city of India.

The temple town of India, Madurai is one of the oldest cities of the country. Culturally rich with ancient traditions, historical significance and natural beauty, Madurai is the city that represents the spirit of Tamil Nadu. It is the place of architectural wonders with each temple, each monument speaking a story. Not only was a cultural capital, Madurai also the commercial capital of South India.

Day 10 – 11 | Kanyakumari

We’ll move to Puducherry, formerly known as Pondicherry, is one of the 8 union territories of India. It was formed out of four territories of former French India, Here we are for 4 nights.

Kanyakumari,  is the southern most tip of main land of India. the ancient town with historical richness, has great religious significance too. The three oceans are jointing at Kanyakumari which is Indian Ocean, Bay of Bangal and Arbian Sea. Here you can see the Sunrise and Sunset from the ocean, Here we have a boat trip to the gigantic statue of Swami Vivekananda.

Day 12 – 14 | Kovalam

The most well-known beach in South India is Kovalam, which is located in the southernmost region and 14 kilometres from Trivandrum, the state capital of Kerala. We will visit Kerala’s most well-known temple, Padmanabha Swami Temple, on the last day, and have a lovely shopping experience. We have a 3-hour backwater boat ride planned here to appreciate the beauty of Kerala.

We will go home with a tonne of fantastic memories, as with all excellent holidays.

    While I appreciate the focus on eco-friendliness, I\’m not the most outdoorsy person. This tour might be better suited for nature enthusiasts.
